This large backyard deck was designed to improve access from the home while creating a functional outdoor space for relaxation and entertaining. The layout included multiple stair systems, with steps leading from the main rear entrance, a side entrance, and down into the garden.
The structure was built using a pressure-treated frame for strength and long-term durability. The surface was finished with Ipe wood, a dense hardwood chosen for its longevity and high-end appearance.
Sections of the deck were intentionally left open during construction to allow for the installation of a custom metal pergola on concrete piers. Once the pergola was in place, the decking was completed to tie everything together.
The deck was also built around a hot tub, allowing for direct, seamless access from the deck surface. The final result is a well-integrated outdoor space with multiple entry points and a durable, long-lasting finish.
