A front porch roof was added to a downtown Toronto home to create a covered sitting area and complete the exterior.
The build was completed on an existing concrete slab that was significantly out of level, requiring careful framing to ensure all visible elements, including railings and posts, remained properly aligned.
Pillars and posts were clad in Extira for durability, while the ceiling was finished in tongue-and-groove pine for a clean, traditional look. A new roof was installed with cedar shingle details along the sides to match the existing structure.
The result is a functional front porch that improves usability and curb appeal while integrating with the home’s original design.
